...I never would have thought that a baby that young could benefit from swim classes, but in South Florida you can never start them too early! Water safety is especially important. The instructors teach the infants to grab onto the wall after being dunked in the water and to crawl on the wall like a little crab. Other instructional activities include singing "Humpty Dumpty" as we sit the little ones on the wall as follows: "Humpty, Dumpty sat on the wall. Humpty, Dumpty took a big faaaalllll...DUNK!
Lucas would cling on to mommy for dear life the first few sessions and gasp for breath the first few times and slowly became more comfortable after several classes.
